Bebe Vio and the unboxing of the Paralympic kit: socks "indispensable, they go straight to my sister"
The Italian foil champion discovers the uniform live before leaving for Paris 2024. With her usual self-irony she enjoys showing off the items, including those she can't do without and the towels: "You can see that the national team cares that we wash ourselves"
Bebe Vio grandis her inevitable irony strikes again: this time the foilist's thrust comes straight from the Paralympics. Yes, because we're here, the big day has arrived: today they start Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. This evening there will be the opening ceremony of the 17th edition and from tomorrow off to the races. And this morning the fencing team which also includes the Venetian champion landed in the French capital.

Who in a fun pre-departure social video created a "Influencer unboxing” to reveal live the contents of the box that had been delivered to her by the courier. Inside is the national team kit for the Paralympics, trolley, tracksuit, pins and everything else, of Beatrice Vio (fencing), as can be read on the top of the package. Armed with large scissors to cut the tape, with "delicacy and elegance" she takes her fans to see what's inside.
Inside the suitcase, also designed by Giorgio Armani, designer of the Olympic and Paralympic uniforms in the latest editions and up to Milano-Cortina 2026, there are the official clothing items that all the male and female athletes will wear for the days of competition; “We have sweatshirts” says the 27 year old and then she shows some small packages: “Without these I won't leave guys. Essential socks”, she says with her usual self-irony, she who doesn't need them as she has prosthetics instead of legs (and arms). “These go straight to my sister” she adds amused. And who knows how many of those socks Maria Sole Vio will have, given that her little sister has collected a lot of that kind of equipment over the years, having been part of the national paralympic fencing team since 2014 and in 2016 she made her debut (winning , among other things) at the Games.
In the trolley then there are "t-shirts, t-shirts, t-shirts and t-shirts", the bathrobe that you try on in front of the camera "and we can take a shower in the village" she continues ironically; and then “more socks, more towels… the national team keeps us washing” he says bursting out laughing. And then again a t-shirt - of which she was worried that they had "got the sizes right" - which invites her followers to look at her "now because then in Paris she will be incredibly hot and you will only see her sweaty". Again "socks", she winks at the screen, and then the bag "very comfortable for going to the gym, to put all the towels and socks you need", she continues with self-irony. “A lot of t-shirts and the rest in the biggest suitcase” she concludes, collapsing with laughter.
