2025 Ski World Championships: Great Show in Saalbach. Program and Where to Watch on TV
From 4 to 16 February the spectacle of the Alpine Ski World Championships: eleven races in twelve days and excellent chances for the Italians. How to follow them

Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone
Bologna, 31 January 2025 – It is the big event of 2025 and it is a sort of dress rehearsal before the Olympics 2026. In Saalbach, Austria, everything is ready for the Alpine Ski World Championships that will start on February 4th and end on Sunday 16th with eleven races scheduled in twelve days: a guaranteed show with the best in the world chasing the world title that is awarded every two years. In Courchevel 2023, the medal table was won by Switzerland, which closed with three golds, three silvers and a bronze, but Italy he performed well with two golds, a silver and a bronze thanks to Fede Brignone, who won the combined and came second in the giant, to Marta bassino, gold in super g, and Alex Vinatzer, bronze in slalom. The speed tests were disappointing where neither Paris nor goggia managed to win a medal. Sofia will try again in Saalbach and it is an important appointment because in her career the world gold has always eluded her. In any case, the national team seems competitive in almost all disciplines except the women's slalom. Goggia, Brignone and Bassino they are the main cards among the women, Fede and Sofia also for the downhill, Marta better in super giant ge, while among the men Paris e Casse they will try it quickly with De Aliprandini e Vinatzer for the technical tests (Luca in giant, Alex in slalom and giant). There was worse even if the results in the season were fluctuating, especially among the males with few highlights. At international level there will be all the champions, starting with Marco Odermatt, who will try the hat-trick (downhill, super giant slalom), passing by Mikaela Shiffrin who just returned from her Killington injury and finishing with Lindsey Vonn, Lara good Behrami, Henrik Kristoffersen and Lucas Pine Braathen. There is something for everyone.
