Alcaraz KO, Ruud makes his debut with a bang at the ATP Finals

Turin, November 11, 2024 – Casper what a surprise! The ghost Norwegian scores big win in debut at ATP FinalsCarlos Alcaraz loses in two sets (6-1, 7-5) and Ruud flies to the top of his group. 

In the first challenge of the group John Newcombe, the number 7 in the world, beat the Spaniard, number 3 in the ATP ranking, dominating the first set from start to finish. Carlitos did not appear to be in the best shape, while Ruud admits to having played “great tennis”. And magic comes out of the boy's racket named after the ghost from the 90s movie. 

In the second set the Spaniard tries to regain ground: he takes the lead up to 5-3, but then practically gives in, with the Norwegian scoring an unstoppable five-game partial.
