ATP Miami, Paolini beats Linette 6-3 6-2. First Italian to reach the semifinals of the tournament

Miami March 26, 2025 – After more than three hours of waiting due to heavy rain that left no escape route to the city of Miami, the meeting between the blue Jasmin Paolini and Polish Magda Linette it was possible to play despite a thousand weather and organizational difficulties. As for the match, it was a practically one-sided match with the Italian who, apart from a break right at the start of the first set, led the dance without any kind of problem, taking home with a peremptory 6-3 a first fraction where the Polish player (semifinalist in Australia in 2023) struggled a lot to find the right countermeasures. With this victory, Paolini is the first Italian tennis player in history to access the semifinals of theATP Masters 1000 Miami.
