The match returns to balance and Musetti quickly liquidates his second game on serve, leaving his opponent at love. alcaraz starts the fourth game badly and gives away the ninth unforced error of his match, which leads musetti at 0-30. A forehand down the line in the corridor condemns the Spaniard to cash in another break, which this time puts the Italian ahead at 3-1. musetti confirms the break in a game that ends in advantage, while Carlos recovers his concentration in the following game which is worth the temporary 4-2 in favor of the Italian opponent. The level is very high and alcaraz alternates extraordinary shots with avoidable errors. Lorenzo holds serve, goes up 5-2 and prepares to play the set on his serve, as Alcaraz holds serve effectively. musetti the game starts strong, one of his millimeter error brings the Spaniard back to 15-all, but he loses a backcourt exchange with a forehand to the net. The Italian forces the second serve immediately after and hits the line, which gives him a double set point: the first is enough for him to close the set, with a wonderful drop shot that surprises alcaraz. The Spaniard takes the lead and confirms the break to zero in the next game. musetti must not be disunited in a moment of great predominance of the opponent. Down 0-3, the Italian is forced to advantage also in his second game on service of this set and capitulates in front of a alcaraz now perfect. After another tough game, musetti manages to shake up his score and goes down 5-1. The Italian has a surge of pride right in the last game and drags alcaraz to the advantages, after being down 0-40. Third set - musetti begins the decisive set on serve and does so with a point in his favor, only to then suffer the assaults of Alcaraz, who earns two break points. The Italian is good at canceling both of them, but in the end he cashes in on the opponent's break. Lorenzo now accuses some physical discomfort and he seems unable to run anymore. Alcaraz goes up 3-0 and musetti is helped by the physiotherapist. Unfortunately, the match is over: the Italian struggles to move and tries to finish the match for the honor of at least getting to the end. The match drags on until the end, when alcaraz closes at 6-0.
