The women's Serie B2 and men's Serie C championships, in which the Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa is also registered, will begin soon. The women's team will be newly promoted to the tournament, with a group that will include girls who grew up in the Bonacossa youth system, together with the teacher Alberta Brianti, former number 55 Wta who in 2000 won the team championship at Bonacossa. This year she will return to wear the club's colors, together with Gaia Parravicini, Daria Frayman and Susan Bandecchi. The men's C will instead start on April 6, Bonacossa will field Edoardo Cecchetti, Andrea Tognolini and Alessandro Versteegh and the 2010 class Giorgio Ghia, reigning Italian U14 champion.
The A2 championship will instead be held in October, in which Alberto Marcora, the Luxembourgian Chris Rodesch (265 ATP), the Ukrainian Oleg Prihodko (317 in singles) and the Swiss Johan Nikles (635) will play for TC Bonacossa. Also in this case the team will be newly promoted in the tournament. "We had been aiming for promotion for three years - says the sports director Mauro Simoncini - but in the decisive clash last season things did not go well for us. The victory came in the doubles play-off and it was even more exciting. We will represent the city of Milan in A2 and for this reason we will do everything to be ready for the appointment".MT
