Sinner and the doping case: "The Tas? I'm optimistic. Ferrara will help Berrettini a lot"
The world number 1, after qualifying for the semi-finals of the ATP Finals, returns to talk about the Clostebol case and the new adventure of his former athletic trainer

Jannik Sinner
Turin, 15 November 2024 – La victory against Daniil Medvedev did nothing but legitimize the passage of the round of Jannik Sinner semi-finals of the ATP Finals in Turin. Meanwhile, the world number 1 tennis player has returned to talk about the doping case, while waiting for the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. Jannik said he was calm, aware that he could not do much at the moment: "I have already found myself in this position three times - Sinner said - and it always ended in my favor, which is positive. Of course, it is not a position I like to be in but I will work together with everyone, as I have done in the past, and then we will see what comes out. I am very optimistic".
Sinner himself also released some statements on his former athletic trainer Umberto Ferrara, excluded from his staff right after the developments of the Clostebol case and now following Matteo Berrettini: “Umberto is a really good trainer, for sure he will do a great job with Matteo who has had many physical problems in the past.''
Finally a theme more closely linked to the field, with the ball question to hold court in these days of Finals: "The balls are always a topic of discussion. It also depends from the playing surface. Sometimes it seems like they're a little slow. I don't worry too much because it's not something you can change during the tournament, so you have to adapt. It will certainly be a discussion to have for the future.''
