Sinner-Zverev on TV, live free-to-air coverage of the final: where to watch it
Sudden change of direction: the final act of the Australian Open will not be subject to a fee
Rome, January 24, 2025 – All Italians will be able to cheer Jannik Sinner of Australian Open final. The challenge against Alexander Zverev, scheduled Sunday January 26 at 9.30 Italian time, it will be broadcast live in clear. Warner Bros. Discovery has in fact decided to broadcast the match on channel Nine.

Sinner qualified for the final of the Australian Open, beating the American in three sets Ben Shelton. The Italian defeated the American 7-6, 6-2, 6-2. “I'm very happy to be back in the final in Melbourne. I entered a bit tense, I'm happy with how I managed my emotions. I have another chance to fight for the title. The season is long, Let's try to start it off on a high note”, the words of the world number 1 at the end of the match.
Zverev instead took advantage of the Novak Djokovic's retirement. While the 27-year-old German, world number 2, had just won the first set in the tie-break, the 37-year-old Serbian went to tell him that he could not continue a match that he had started with a fcumbersome tape on the left thigh, after being injured on Wednesday in the quarter-finals against Carlos Alcaraz.
It will be there third Slam final for Jannik Sinner, reigning champion in Australia and winner of the last US OpenThird Slam final also for Zverev, defeated in his two previous matches by Dominic Thiem (U.S. Open 2020) and Carlos Alcaraz (Roland Garros 2024).
Sinner and Zverev have faced 6 times in career and on 4 occasions the German won. In the previous Slams, Jannik took the first challenge to the Roland Garros 2020, while Zverev has won twice at the US Open. In their last match, Sinner defeated Zverev last year in Semifinal in Cincinnati.
Meanwhile, on Saturday 23 January, another appointment with history: the men's doubles final with Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori will be broadcast exclusively on Eurosport 1 and Discovery+ after the 9.30am women's final between Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys.
