Tennis Club Ancona triumphs again: victory against TC Poggibonsi in Serie B1
Tennis Club Ancona beats TC Poggibonsi 4-2, consolidating its position in the standings and remaining undefeated.

Ancona B1 team victorious against Poggibonsi
Tennis Club Ancona never stops. After the resounding victory against AT Verona, the Dorics also achieved victory in the third day of the national championship of Serie B1, beating TC Poggibonsi with a score of 4-2 and thus consolidating their position in the noble areas of the ranking, still without defeats after three days. A more balanced challenge compared to the 6-0 inflicted on the Veronese the previous week, but which once again confirmed the solidity of the group trained by coach Quintiliani. The key to success was found in the singles, where two protagonists made the difference. Maik Steiner, now a key element of the Ancona team, opened in the best possible way by beating Marco Angiolini with a convincing 6-1 6-1. The tennis player confirmed the excellent moment of form that had already seen him protagonist against Bolzano and dominant against Verona, proving to be an element that the team can count on in decisive moments. Equally important was the victory of Leonardo Primucci, who returned from the injury that had affected him against Verona, who overcame Andrea Turini 6-3 6-3. A convincing performance by the player from Ancona who was able to best manage a hard-fought match, giving the team a precious victory. The other challenges in the singles were more difficult: Matteo Sabbatini lost to Tommaso Lenzi 6-3 6-3, while Luca Pizzichini was overcome by Riccardo Brogi with a score of 6-1 6-3. Two defeats that did not compromise the economy of the match, already directed by the victories of Steiner and Primucci. In doubles, the Tennis Club Ancona made the difference by winning both matches: the Pizzichini-Steiner pair prevailed over the Turini-Lenzi duo by 6-3 6-4, while Sabbatini-Primucci completed the work by overcoming Angiolini-Vanzi in a battle that ended 6-1 0-6 10-7 in the super tie-break. "It was still a tough match, also considering the absence of Michele Mecarelli who was unable to play - commented captain Matteo Baldini - Now we will play the next match in Sassari against Porto Torres and it will certainly be a decisive challenge for the ranking. This victory also gave us confidence and consolidated us in the play-off area of the ranking". With this success, the Tennis Club Ancona confirms its ambitions of a high ranking and sends a clear message to its direct competitors. Three days, two victories and a draw with a high technical content: the path of the Dorics proceeds quickly towards increasingly prestigious objectives and this B1 series championship can really make tennis fans of the capital dream.
