Flavio Cobolli leads Italy against Switzerland at United Cup 2025

Flavio Cobolli brought Italy their first point in the opening match of the challenge against Switzerland, rival in group D of the united cup, the team tournament that actually opens in Australia the 2025 season of the tennis. Sydney, the Italian no. 32 ATP beat the Swiss Dominic Stricker, no. 6, 3-7 6-300.

"I think I played a great game. It's always nice to play for Italy, with my teammates and my father cheering on the bench. It's fun and I did great things for us today."

Italy was a finalist in 2023, defeated by the United States, and aims to win the trophy. The tournament format includes a men's singles, a women's singles, which sees Jasmine and Paolini on the field, and a mixed doubles.
