PERUGIA – Excitement grows as the champions league final four scheduled in Lodz this weekend. The Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia has worked hard to present himself at his best and will complete his preparation on Polish soil. On the eve of the match, the setter and captain expressed his considerations to the press Simone Giannelli who said: "It is never a given to get to the end of the competitions, we will play the games we like, to do well where we are happy to be. We are happy to be here and to talk about the Champions League now".

On a personal level, the South Tyrolean player is very clear about the mental approach with which he is about to experience this unique event. trophy that is still missing in the history of the black and white club. "I'm not the sportsman who is obsessed with winning something that is missing, but I try to enjoy what comes, I earned the opportunity to try to go and play it, so I'm very happy, I'll go and play it, then if it comes I'll be happy, if it doesn't come I'll be less happy, but obsession is not part of me. I try to do my best, above all I'll try to bring everything I can to my team in those games, then after that there are the opponents, there's the pitch, there are many things that are between us and the trophy. So we show up without obsession, with serenity, with calm and with the desire to do well".

The 28-year-old athlete then focused on the fans, underlining the importance of their presence in Poland. "A lot of people make us feel their support. A lot of people will come, I'm happy."
