Game 5 in Perugia: Lube dreams of a comeback like in 2019
Lube seeks another historic comeback in Game 5 in Perugia, recalling the memorable 2019 Scudetto.

Applause, chants and passion: the unique atmosphere of a volleyball court full of fans
Game 5 in Perugia brings back memories of the memorable one in 2019 when Sir and Lube were in the final. Civitanova won 2-3 celebrating their 5th Scudetto, the first of three consecutive and one of the most exciting because De Giorgi's team was losing 2-0 that night. And they were coming off 7 lost finals in two seasons. Medei's players believed after game 2 and words were followed by facts, so today Lube is dreaming of another comeback, so far in the history of A1 in 8 circumstances a team has been able to overturn from 2-0 to 2-3 and in three cases Civitanova has succeeded, the last in the 2023 quarterfinals against Verona. In this series there has not been a true master. Lube plays better, is more consistent, balanced and shows more useful alternatives, but the only one-way voice so far has been that of the blocks: the red and whites have made more of them in every match. In the last three games they have also always made fewer errors. The teams have been close in terms of reception performance and Perugia has been consistent in attack (minimum 48% and maximum 53%). It is surprising that they have made more aces from game 2 onwards, while in the first act, the one won more easily, Lube had made more. In a game 5, however, schemes and predictions are out of the question, what counts above all is defense, courage and coolness in key moments.
