Bisonte Firenze strengthens with the return of Jolien Knollema

The 'fourth place' of The Bisonte Florence for the next championship – its twelfth uninterrupted in A1 – is further strengthened. After the return of Francesca Villani and the new arrival of Alice Tanase, the company of president Elio Sità and patron Wanny Di Filippo announces another precious piece, already well known and appreciated on the market: that of Jolie Knollema, the twenty-two-year-old Dutch spiker who already wore the white and blue jersey for two seasons, from 2021 to 2023, before emigrating to Germany to join Stuttgart, with whom, as an undisputed starter, she won a championship, a national cup and two Supercups, also making her debut in the Champions League. Furthermore, with the orange national team, after playing in the VNL and the World Cup, she participated in the Paris Olympic Games and won bronze at the European Championships. Her list of achievements also includes her presence, in 2021, at the under-20 world championship, entering the ideal sextet of the event as best spiker.

A very important return, therefore, for the team that had launched her and an additional weapon at her disposal. Federico Chiavegatti who will thus be able to count on a player who in the meantime has gained further experience and improved those technical and physical qualities that she had already repeatedly demonstrated during her previous stay in Florence.

"I'm really happy to be back in Il Bisonte and to play again in such an important championship as the Italian one - she confesses -. I am also excited to be back with the club that welcomed me when I was very young and that has always made me feel like part of the family, just as it will be fantastic to see the fans and all the people I know again. I have already spoken to some members of the staff, it is reassuring to know that many of those from back then still work for the team: this shows how much spirit and energy there is in this club. Next season I hope to play at a great level, to show the fans my determination and to give everything on the pitch, always with a smile".
