Busto Arsizio makes official the hiring of Valentina Diouf, While the Volleyball Bergamo 1991 starts again from Michaela Mleinkova. These are the moves of two of the revelation teams of last season and who have every intention of repeating themselves. Uyba confirmed the arrival of Valentina Diouf, a player who marked an era of the Italian volleyball becoming an absolute idol and a source of inspiration for many young girls. At 32 years old and after having traveled half the world, from Brazil to South Korea, from Poland to France and Indonesia, the Milanese opposite hitter born in 1993 is ready to live her third adventure with the butterflies, after those of 2014/15 and then the two-year period 2016/17 and 2017/18. A return that smells of home, of heart, of authentic bond. "I had said never again in Italy, but Uyba is Uyba and it is the only Italian club where I could return - said Diouf -. After the experiences abroad I was a bit undecided about my future, but the president Giuseppe Pirola strongly wanted me and I could not help but accept". A new role for Fiocco di Neve: "Compared to my first years here, I will now have a different role, supporting the starting opposite hitter: Josephine Obossa is doing very well and I like the idea of being able to lend a hand, also with my experience, to her and the whole group, obviously making sure I'm ready when called upon. The team did very well last season and now it seems even better put together, with an excellent mix of young and more experienced players, technical and physical". Playing to participate is not Diouf's style. "The goal must be to win everything we can win: this must always be our desire". At Volley Bergamo, however, the first piece is the confirmation of Michaela Mlejnkova. Last year the Czech player made her debut in the Italian championship with Bergamo and, invested with the role of captain, has made the red and blue jersey her second skin. Apparently gentle and quiet, on the pitch she was able to be the catalyst for a surprising group: good at lifting up her teammates in difficult moments, able to unite the team and turn moments of tension into an opportunity to unleash a warrior spirit: "It was a really important year for me. I realized my dream of playing in Italy and as a bonus I had the honor of being the team captain. We were able to grow quickly as a team, to reach the goal and go beyond it by qualifying for the playoffs and the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup. Now I expect new goals. Our group will change a bit and we will have to be able to build our new team chemistry right from the start".
