Applause, chants and passion: the unique atmosphere of a volleyball court full of fans
by Alberto AgliettiPERUGIAThe victory in the quarter-final series of the play-offs for the championship has allowed the Sir Susa Vim Perugia to unplug for two days. The block-devils are waiting to find out which rival to face in semifinal, which will be one between Civitanova Marche and Milan. Last Sunday's performance showed great character, the coach said Angelo Lorenzetti (in the photo): "First of all, I'm happy for the club because they will have a European Cup next year too and we know that's not a given. If everything fits together, which is possible, we'll also be in the Super Cup and so it's another achievement. It was the sixth time we met Modena this season, from experience, regardless of the level of the two teams, it's difficult to win all these consecutive matches and so I knew it would be a special match. Maybe the two sets won had given the illusion that it would be easy, there was a moment in the third set in which we certainly made things easier for them, but in attack from position four they were certainly superior and I also think it was the worst match of the year for us in defense. We dropped some balls, not very many, that you have to catch, at these levels here there's also a bit of tension that blocks you, if you start a little late, you move badly, however we did what we wanted to do in a delicate match. Everything went smoothly at the end of the fourth quarter where we also had a bit of luck because one of their attacks ended up out by a hair's breadth. In these two weeks we won't have the burden of the game. We have to make them useful, we are always the protagonists. Game one of the semifinal is a bit far away and we have to work with the concept that every ball counts, even in training".
