PISA – Pallavolo Massa Carrara regained third place in the men’s Serie C championship, drawing level with Grandi Turris Pisa at 18 points. They did so thanks to a performance of character and good technical quality against an experienced team with several talented players.

Coach Cei relied on an initial sextet composed of Podestà, Briglia, Mosca, Calcagnini, Nannini and Pitto with Aliboni (pictured) libero. Bibbiani, Passino, Paoletti and Haxhijmeri took over during the match. The beginning was very hard-fought with two sets decided by advantages: the first in favor of the Apuans and the second of the Pisans. The visiting team, however, came out forcefully in the two subsequent sets. The final result makes Pallavolo Massa Carrara gain more awareness and confidence in their own means and can now face the Christmas break with serenity.
