MotoGP, Stoner warns: “Marquez will win in 2025”
The former world champion warns everyone about Marquez's chances of winning the world championship: he is the best rider and will have the best bike
Bologna, November 10, 2024 – Marc Marquez 2025 world champion and consequently on par with Valentino Red at nine world titles? For Casey Stoner it's possible, even probable. The former Ducati and Honda world champion is sure of it: Marquez he is the best rider and with the official red he will be able to win. Already with the 2023 bike he has shown himself to be super competitive, clearly the best among the riders with the old bike, and with an official Ducati, updated like Pecco bagnaia, it can only get better. Today the title is a matter between Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia, but from 2025 the Spaniard will be in Aprilia, therefore with a competitiveness still to be demonstrated, and the Italian will find himself with the inconvenience of sharing the garage with an eight-time world champion: a problem of no small importance.
Stoner: “Marquez will win”
During the Eicma days in Milan, Casey Stoner expressed his point of view on the 2024 season and especially on the next one, where there will be many changes of team. Pramac will move to Yamaha , Martin he will leave Ducati and go to Aprilia, bastianini will get on a KTM and Marquez he will take an official Borgo Panigale bike in the official team alongside Pecco bagnaia. It will be his big chance to win a title again and equal Valentino Red at nine. The Australian is certain of this, interviewed by MotoSan: “The 2025 bike will not be so different and I think Marquez will be comfortable with it – Stoner's words – I honestly think he will win the Moto GP title because he is the best rider, as long as electronics and regulations do not interfere too much because in today's world championship the rider has become less important than the bike”. Casey, therefore, warns everyone, especially bagnaia who remains Ducati's leading man even if the world championship is practically in the hands of Martin. Stoner was also quite clear on this, Jorge deserves the title. Bagnaia has only one mission ahead of him, to win both Saturday and Sunday and take home the 37 points available, but Martin, who starts with a 24-point advantage, needs 'only' 14 points in two races. Very doable: "Last year it was Jorge who made some mistakes in the crucial phase, now it's Bagnaia's turn - Casey commented - Pecco just has to win and wait to see what happens, but I hope Martin has a bit of luck because he would fully deserve this title". The final appointment is from 15 to 17 November at Montmelo in Barcelona, with a sprint race at 15 pm on Saturday and a long race at 14 pm on Sunday. Then, from Tuesday, tests with a view to 2025, again in Barcelona given the flood that hit Valencia. Read also - Moto GP, in Barcelona it's Pirro's turn to replace Di Giannantonio
