Bartoccini, final sprint. Marangi's grit

The grit of the Bartoccini Perugia girls

The final sprint of the first half of the season is being prepared, Sunday's match will be the last before the halfway point for Bartoccini Mc Restauri Perugia. The black shirts have already anticipated the thirteenth day against Conegliano and now they have to face their direct opponent Talmassons away, fresh from a success. Speaking about the moment is assistant coach Guido Marangi who starts from last Wednesday's match: "There was certainly a reaction to the match lost against Rome in Busto Arsizio. We were not cynical in some parts of the set, such as in the first, when we had two balls to close the set. There was the possibility of bringing back some points from a difficult court like that of the Lombardy team, but if you don't take advantage of certain opportunities in this category you pay dearly, as has already happened in other matches. We must start again from what we put on the court anyway, because the team fought and held its own against the opponent. Now Talmassons awaits us, who has changed a lot compared to last year. They only kept the setter Eze Blessing on whom they are counting a lot, then for the rest they have largely renewed the roster. They then strengthened themselves with the arrival of the Swiss opposite hitter Maja Storck. It will be a real battle, there will be a fight. We will have to limit the work of the opposite hitter and the middle hitters with whom they find important outlets". The lower part of the table is very short: "To the teams that are fighting with us, Roma, Cuneo, Talmassons and Florence I would add Pinerolo, which is just four points above us. Let's say that from the non-placed level downwards anything can happen, even if it should be considered that Cuneo has to make up the match with Florence".
