Daniele Grazi presided with Luca Luman as vice and Filippo Fuochi as secretary.
At the beginning there was also a greeting from the outgoing regional president Saverio Metti who then read his four-year report (approved unanimously) recalling what had been done, but also the things for which he was not satisfied. “From a financial point of view – he said Put – we leave a Committee that had begun its mandate 4 years earlier with 32 thousand euros (with assembly to pay) with the current 103 thousand euros that we are sure will be invested in youth and promotional activities”.
The newly elected president is Florentine Luca Menichetti, 53 years old last November, a civil lawyer, was a former runner. As a rookie in UCSCroce (3 victories), as a student in LMF Biokimica (7 victories in two years), while he achieved 5 successes in his second junior year with the jersey of Ader's di Ponte a Egola. From athlete to national race judge, then member of the Sports Court of Appeal of the Cycling Federation, and finally regional sports judge in Tuscany. The companies present there were 124 for a total of 168 votes or 60,60%. Once elected, Menichetti thanked for the consensus obtained, underlining the intense work that awaits him together with his collaborators. The two elected vice presidents were the Sienese Gaia Passerini (vicar with 126 votes obtained) who was part of the Commission for Promotion Activities of the Federcycling, and Federico Micheli from Pisa who received 121 votes and has been a regional councilor for the last four years.
Pistoia native Mauro Renzoni had also run for vice presidency and obtained 57 votes. The four elected councilors (there were no other candidates) to complete Luca Menichetti's team, were Samuel Manfredi, the unfortunate former runner, talent and promise of cycling, victim of the serious road accident in 2018 that precluded his promising cycling career, who obtained 113 votes, Massimo Fogli from Pisa (112), Andrea Diolaiuti from Pistoia (89) and Andrea Fefè from Grosseto (87).
