Monza, 12 April 2025 – The ATP Challenger Atkinsons Monza Open 25 is also an occasion for solidarity. Lilt (Italian League for the Fight against Tumors) is at the Tennis Club thanks to a partnership with Thermo Fisher company, with which he has been collaborating for some time on corporate welfare.

“We enter the company - explains the Lilt staff - with awareness courses and visits for employees”. So even the international tournament in Monza is an opportunity to meet the general public, considering that they are up to 4.000 people expected for the days dedicated to the semi-finals and final. Lilt participates in the event to raise awareness. The association's focus is reduce the impact of cancer on people's lives.

With a healthy diet, constant exercise and early diagnosis visits, the onset of tumors can be counteracted. Secondly, the big event becomes an opportunity for fundraising: "The volunteers - the association explains - are present at a stand with Our solidarity proposals for Easter. The proceeds go to the 'Childcare Project', services to support children with cancer and their families".

The exposure

The large influx of spectators these days, which also moves from the Tennis club to the centre of Monza, has also enhanced the exhibition “AutPop: Beyond the Gaze”, a collection of about forty paintings by the young artists with autism spectrum of the Facciavista Ets Association, set up in the Montrasio Arte exhibition space (via De Amicis 19). The exhibition was opened in early April, on the occasion of World Awareness Day.

“We are very happy - explains the promoter of Facciavista, Matteo Perego - because we sold 8 or 9 paintings. Thanks to this exceptional result Montrasio Arte has decided to continue the exhibition until Monday”.

The Rotary Club Monza also collaborated in the realization. The proceeds of the works sold will be entirely donated to the Association Ets Facade View, born from an idea by Matteo Perego as an expressive artistic laboratory for children with autism.
