Brescia-Reggiana match postponed: recovery on May 13th after Pope Francis' death
The Brescia-Reggiana match will be rescheduled for May 13. The decision follows the postponement due to the death of Pope Francis.

Antonio Vergara ha quattro giorni in più per rientrare in forma
The match with the Brescia which was scheduled for 15pm yesterday at the 'Rigamonti', will be recovered on Tuesday 13 May together with the rest of the 34th matchday. This is the decision taken by the Lega assembly which met yesterday afternoon in an extraordinary manner to establish the guidelines following the postponement due to the death of Pope Francesco. When the news that shook the world arrived, Mister Dionigi's team was in retreat in Brescia, ready to take to the field a few hours later. Subsequently, the troops packed up and returned to the city. In the early afternoon they trained at the 'Villa Granata' training center where they will continue to work today (again in the afternoon), strictly behind 'closed doors', aiming for a direct clash with the Citadel on Friday (at 15pm at the 'Città del Tricolore'). It was therefore decided to postpone the 34th matchday beyond the date scheduled for the end of the championship. A choice that appears wise and logical and that avoids further clogging up an already very busy calendar.
The last game of the regular season of the Reggiana it was supposed to be the one with Juve Stabia (Friday 9 May at 20,30:20,30 in Campania), instead it will be at the 'Rigamonti' in Brescia. There is still no absolute certainty about the time, but from the first rumours it should always be played at 15:16. It is then possible (or rather probable) that as if by a domino effect the start dates of both the playoffs and the playouts will also be postponed. The former were initially scheduled for 17 and 22 May (preliminary round) while the latter (which could closely concern Rozzio and his teammates) had been set for the XNUMXth (first leg) and the XNUMXnd (return leg). We will see what will be decided, but it is clear that the teams will need (at least) a few more days of recovery, before entering a crucial phase of the season in which the verdicts can be very heavy.
In all this excitement, the Reggiana will have a little more time to polish up Mattia Destro and to recover as best as possible Antonio Vergara. The playmaker owned by Napoli would have gritted his teeth and probably would have already taken the field yesterday, but this way there should be no doubts. The focus now will have to be entirely on the match against Citadel. In the first leg (December 21) the Venetians won 3-1 in what was one of the most tragic performances of this year with distressing connotations. It would obviously be very important to win and, if it were possible, give back the two goal difference that would tie the two teams in the event of a tie, leaving any discussion to the overall goal difference that at the moment favors the Granata (-13 against -24).
