Viali still bitter about the protest: "But I'm the first to question myself"

The coach: "After Sampdoria I was willing to step aside. The Curva case? I think of a child who grew up in the south. He feels evicted..."

So was he willing to step aside? "Yes, I spoke clearly and asked in a very direct way. At this point, each of us must put aside personal selfishness for the common good and I must be the first to set an example. I wanted to make this clear to the club and even before that to my players, but I perceived esteem in the work I did".

Listening to the recent words of Rozzio, the group seems to have understood: the captain guaranteed that the group is healthy and marching together towards a single objective. "I listened to the interview with Rozzio and I must say that his words, as well as those of the club, made me very happy. His return to the group came at the most opportune moment and goes far beyond what he will be able to give us on the pitch".

In this regard, when will we be able to see him 'active' again for a full match? "He has already done some overload training and reacted well, so if there was a need to have him do a segment with the Sassuolo I think he could do it. Then it's clear that we'll have to navigate by sight, but I'd say we're almost there."

Let's move on to the dispute with Sassuolo: can all this media hype influence you in any way? "We are certainly facing a sensational situation, because I don't think anything like this has ever happened anywhere else. I trust that it can influence us in a positive way, then it is clear that we are people of the field, but I think of a child who grows up in that place (the south curve, ed.) and then feels evicted... it is a great disappointment".

Will it give you more energy? "We feel great responsibility. The only solution will be to play a great match."

How do you face a battleship like Sassuolo? "We will have to face them with our weapons, avoid individuals getting excited. Then from a tactical point of view they are often changing the system, but beyond this, the emotional aspect will also count".

You have always suffered a gol in the last nine games and you have often lost points in the final minutes, what can be done to reverse this trend? "We have worked on it, trying to get out of the usual scores and also recreating situations of excess numbers. The team has the desire and the ability to suffer, but it needs a little more lucidity in those moments. I think we just need a spark to get us going again at a thousand: when it comes we will not stop anymore".
