Vis will play at the Benelli stadium also in the next championship. The news was not at all obvious because the current lighting system risked not being adequate for television standards and regulations. One of the reasons why in the environment there was fear of having to take Vis to play in another city regardless of the championship to be played. However, the parties met, Vis and the Municipality, and yesterday afternoon the Municipal Administration announced the agreement reached: "The Municipality of Pesaro continues to invest in sports, and now comes further confirmation from the mayor Andrea Biancani and the councilor for Maintenance, Mila Della Dora who announce: the Benelli stadium will have a new LED lighting system that will allow Vis Pesaro to adapt to the demands of the championship, guaranteeing television coverage of the matches". The overall cost of the intervention is around 250 thousand euros that will be allocated in mid-April by the Municipality of Pesaro with the budget variation. "We expect the work to begin between June and July, once the championship has already ended, so that we can start the 2025/2026 season with the lighting already installed," Biancani and Della Dora point out. "Thanks to this intervention, the club and the city will have a driving force for visibility and promotion throughout the country."
The president of Vis Pesaro, Mauro Bosco, was also satisfied with the agreement: "I would like to thank Mayor Biancani and Councilor Della Dora for their closeness, collaboration and sensitivity shown by the municipal administration towards Pesaro sports and Vis Pesaro. We are happy to be able to confirm that we will also play next season in our beloved Benelli stadium".
The administration had already allocated 25 thousand euros for the adaptation of the video surveillance system, in order to make the area safer also from the point of view of public order. For the same system, 20 thousand euros were also allocated for the replacement of the waste water lifting pumps. Finally, the mayor's note continues, "in June 2024, 50 thousand euros had been invested for the lighting which will now be implemented with an additional 250 thousand euros. In a few months, therefore, the Municipality has invested almost 350 thousand euros for the Benelli stadium alone - conclude Biancani and Della". Other issues remain open: the fence and the perimeter and internal walls in very poor condition, the Prato toilets, its roofing and other interventions.
