by Fabrizio CarcanoBERGAMOThe European efforts and too many absences are holding back theAtalanta, stuck at home by Turin for 1-1 and penalized by a series of defections. Zappacosta out with flu, Carnesecchi blocked by an adductor problem, Kolasinac forced to leave after half an hour with a flexor and the returning Scamacca out with a muscular problem in his quadriceps. A draw that is too tight for the Bergamo team, who at the end of the match with Gasperini argued about two refereeing incidents (a goal disallowed for Bellanova and a penalty not awarded), after having dominated tactically, creating more, but without managing to concretize in the opponent's area, also missing a penalty with a quarter of an hour to go with Retegui, blocked by a sensational Milinkovic-Savic. The 28-year-old Serbian goalkeeper, already a protagonist in the 2-1 victory for the Granata in August - with the saving of another penalty from Pasalic - made the difference in the second half, stopping the Nerazzurri attack, strengthened for the final assault by the return, a couple of weeks earlier than expected, of Gianluca Scamacca. The striker is back on the pitch 178 days after the rupture of his cruciate ligament, but he leaves the pitch at the final whistle limping due to a strain to his quadriceps that could block him for ten days. This morning, the Goddess had made official the arrival from Monza for 13 million euros of Daniel Maldini, another immediate offensive reinforcement in a February in which Lookman will also be missing.

The Anglo-Nigerian's plays were lacking, and badly, in this draw in the rain, on a heavy pitch, against a well-organized Torino. The first half was boring for almost 35 minutes, with the guests doing well to break up the Atalanta game, which produced crosses and corners but without any real conclusions. In the 21st minute, Bellanova, an ex on duty, scored but with a suspicious hand touch detected by the VAR that disallowed the goal. The Goddess continued to press and took the lead in the 34th minute, with a corner from Bellanova and Djimsiti rose imperiously in the area for 1-0. The advantage lasted just four turns of the clock. In the first real descent, Vlasic won a free kick and Lazaro passed it to Maripan, who burst in and headed it in thanks to a collective slumber by the Nerazzurri rearguard. The second half resumes with Torino immediately dangerous on the counterattack with Adams, but from that moment the Atalanta monologue begins, with Gasperini protesting for a possible handball in the Granata area in the 55th minute and increasing the offensive traction by bringing on Cuadrado, Pasalic and Samardzic. The Nerazzurri are pressing, until the penalty won by Retegui in the 74th minute after a hold by Tameze. The Argentine kicks weakly from the spot and Milinkovic-Savic is able to save. The final with the Goddess on the attack and two good balls for an imprecise Pasalic, then a header from Scamacca, but Milinkovic-Savic grabs every ball. From the Atalanta curve, racist insults fly ("Zingaro") and plastic cups on the goalkeeper and the speaker calls out the Bergamo fans, before the match slides into an emotionless recovery.
