"Fiorentina: last days of the transfer market, focus on Inter and the Ruben Vargas track"

Fiorentina is focusing on the match against Inter and transfer negotiations are on pause. The main target is Ruben Vargas, while the arrival of Luciano Rodriguez seems difficult. Outgoing Josip Brekalo and Yerry Mina could be sold to Olympiakos. Fiorentina is in no hurry but the fans are waiting for signals from president Commisso.

Ruben Vargas of Augsburg, who has been on the purple list for some time

Less than six days until the final bell of the winter transfer market. Minus two - probably - until the actual resumption of negotiations between Joe Barone and Daniele Pradè. Because Fiorentina (understood as a team and a club) is focusing a lot on the match against Inter. Yesterday some contacts were recorded, but nothing that could lead to definitive acceleration. Long live the Ruben Vargas track. At the moment it seems to be the only one coming in. Fiorentina remains firm on his position: an operation that will have to be completed for a sum of around 7 million. Or at least little more.

Having definitively blurred Brian Rodriguez, the other Rodriguez (i.e. Luciano) represents a kind of winter dream. Uruguayan born in 2003 from Liverpool of Montevideo: future assured, but half of Europe is counting on him. Fiorentina could also decide to actually try in the next few hours, but it remains an extremely difficult objective to achieve. Everything stopped on the first striker front. It was difficult to move Nzola (who wants to stay in Florence) and consequently the Dia solution also remains frozen.

The usual suspects are out, those unhappy with the first part of the season that Fiorentina wants to please. Josip Brekalo and Yerry Mina, for whom a maxi operation has been set up with Olympiakos. There were indeed contacts on this front yesterday. If it seems like the only possibility for the Croatian winger at the moment, after the failure linked to Dinamo Zagreb, the Colombian defender is also considering something else. Porto teased him more on a technical level, while the Arab proposal - clearly - on an economic level. Not so much for the immediate future, but for next season. It is worth remembering that Mina would leave without returning to Florence (he has an option for the second year which evidently would not be exploited), while if Brekalo was not sold outright he would return in the summer (contract until 2025).

There is no rush, also because several markets will remain open beyond February 1st. But also in general, Fiorentina has shown that it does not want to rush things. From Monday to Thursday it will be a sort of race against time. The fans (and Italians) are waiting for a strong signal from Rocco Commisso, with the hope of not being disappointed in the end.
