Study history before writing it. A lesson that Pisa seems to have studied to the best of their ability. The eight-point advantage gained over Spezia, with seven games to go, has brought the great dream of promotion ever closer, and the club has thus wanted to celebrate the moment in a way… amarcord. A jersey, launched in a limited edition, that commemorates the 1986-87 season, which culminated precisely with Serie A.

"It was the "most beautiful championship in the world"; they were eleven boys dressed in Nerazzurro today, just like then, ready to chase a dream". This is how the Pisa website celebrates the launch of the uniform, available from 19:09 pm (the time that recalls the year the club was founded) yesterday on the club's online shop, and from Saturday 5 April, the day of the match against Modena, also at the Pisa Store in Borgo Largo. A limited edition, with only two hundred and fifty models available, on sale for 89 euros, the result of the collaboration with one of the most exclusive brands in the world of football clothing, COPA, which now also sees the Nerazzurri team join its "stable" of clubs and national teams with which it has opened a collaboration.

Of course, beyond the vintage charm of the shirt, there is much more. There is a dream come true, especially that afternoon at the "Zini" in Cremona, thanks to the goal by Lamberto Piovanelli that drove the seven thousand fans present on the road and an entire city crazy that torrid June 21st, now thirty-eight years ago.

A dream, a feat, that Inzaghi's team can now live, in a unique way. The limited edition uniform will not be worn in the championship, but it is a message of fundamental, historical importance that is conveyed: Pisa was that, it accomplished that feat, Pisa can do it again. Bringing "history" into play, the moment is the right one.
