Record number of participants in Colle di Val d'Elsa at the fifteenth edition of the Buonconvento Master Trophy, the winter event dedicated to amateur swimmers that originated in the Buonconvento municipal swimming pool in 2011. Over five hundred athletes crowded the Olimpia swimming pool in Colle di Val d'Elsa for two days of swimming in the pool.
Among the almost fifty companies from all over Italy, the battleship of the Dlf Swimming Livorno, while the second step of the podium was conquered by the Umbrians of Bastia Swimming Center and the third from the friends of the Csi Swimming Prato.
In the final report, there were also four Italian category records starting from 50 freestyle Dino Samaritans who at over seventy-five years old managed to print 32''0 in the 50 freestyle. In the 100 breaststroke they were Richard Risaliti (M65) and Emilio Corelli (M30) to demolish the Italian records of the category with 1'19''6 for Riccardo and 1'00''9, an absolutely remarkable time, for Emilio, without a doubt a spectacular time for the master sector. Risaliti then repeated himself in the 50 breaststroke specialty in the following round, also embellishing the second day of competitions in the Colligiano facility.
Overall it was two days of sport and smiles, in the spirit of the master of the races. The organizers of the company Virtus they hope to bring the next 2026 edition back to the Buonconvento municipal swimming pool, the place where it all began many years ago with an event capable of bringing together numerous competitors.
